Treatment of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
The following letter was written by the J. family to the iMER company. They contacted us while looking for a solution to the medical challenges faced by their 15 year old daughter who was suffering from J.I.A. – Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. JIA is a subset of arthritis seen in childhood, which may be transient and self-limited or chronic. It is an autoimmune disorder.
Treatment was administered in Russia with Sulfasalazin together with Dicofenac followed by Meloxicam – this protocol brought with it terrible complications. The child developed Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis over 70% of her body. She needed resuscitation and was in a life threatening situation.
It was clear to the family that their daughter required immediate and specialized medical attention- Her medical material was reviewed by Dr. Berkune, a Pediatric immunology specialist and they accepted the offer to bring her to the Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem. This is the heartwarming letter they sent us:
“Thank you to the wonderful team at iMER – Luba, Sasha and Leah for the help with the treatment and cure for our daughter. I pray that the treatment and warm concern will come back to you 100 fold.
With great respect and a million thanks,
The J. family 25.08.2011”
