Colorectal cancer treatment – chemotherapy in Israel

Marat Gainullin arrived in Israel confined to a wheelchair. His colon was almost completely obstructed by colorectal cancer. Treatment was urgently required. Doctors in Bashkortostan  advised Marat Gainullin to undergo the surgery in Israel .  Howeverwhen the Israeli oncology specialists assessed his condition, it was determined that the colon cancer had progressed to a stage where surgery was not  recommended.

Doctor Igor Nemirovsky, the leading oncologist of the Moshe Sharett institute in the Hadassah Medical Center, examined the patient and determined Marat’s condition to be severe but he was optimistic regarding a solution. He urgently prescribed an alternative treatment: a course of chemotherapy to arrest the colorectal cancer. The medicine, tailored to address the cancer was  effective: it  stopped the disease from progression and gradually shrank the tumor. Due to the successful treatment of the tumor, the colon was no longer obstructed and the patient’s recovery allowed him to resume a normal life and return to his job!
